EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (EAP)

Centerpoint EAP services include problem assessment, short term Counseling, and work-life referral services to resolve personal issues at home or at work. Our Counselors are available 24/7 by telephone in crises situations.

Everyone faces personal challenges from time to time. In some situations, we become overwhelmed by these problems and our personal and work life suffers.

Centerpoint EAP provides access to confidential, professional services to resolve a wide variety of issues, including relationship problems, difficult work situations, depression or anxiety, parenting challenges, and legal or financial problems.

The goal of the EAP is to assist clients in restoring and maintaining effectiveness in their personal lives and in the workplace.

The EAP services on this page are available at no charge for eligible employees of our client organizations. Immediate family members are also included.

We have Staff Counselors in Medford, as well as over 30 Associate Counselors throughout Southern Oregon. We have an extensive database of local professionals and information about many community resources.

The EAP also provides consultations for supervisors to identify troubled employees and refer them to Centerpoint EAP services. Centerpoint provides other consulting services including Professional Coaching, Career Consulting, Mediation, Training & Development, Critical Incident Stress Management, and Facilitation. COUNSELING

Life’s challenges can be difficult to cope with alone. Centerpoint Counselors assist individuals, couples and families deal with a wide variety of personal, family and workplace problems.

Functioning effectively and feeling well is difficult when you are overwhelmed with personal issues. Professional counseling can be helpful or even crucial when dealing with a crisis or ongoing problem.

Centerpoint counselors help clients deal with stress, anxiety, depression, relationships, spiritual challenges, substance abuse, grief and loss, and many other issues. Seeking out counseling is often an important first step toward health and wellness at work and at home.

There is no charge for accessing our Counselors through your Centerpoint EAP. We also accept most insurances and private pay clients.

ALCOHOL/DRUG ASSESSMENTS

EAP clients who are concerned about alcohol and drug problems will be assessed by a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC). Treatment of substance abuse problems is not provided through the EAP. Referrals to appropriate treatment services outside the EAP are provided.

WORK-LIFE REFERRALS

Centerpoint makes referrals to local professionals for our EAP clients. Our referrals save you time and relieve unnecessary stress and frustration. We maintain a database of local professionals who we make referrals to, and who we have found to provide excellent service to other clients with similar issues. If we don’t know of an appropriate person for you, we’ll do up to two hours of research to find one.

COMMUNITY RESOURCES

Centerpoint has extensive information about local community services including rape/crisis lines, shelters, hospice, treatment facilities and 12 step programs, and other public services. Learn more about local services in our Community Resources.

CONFIDENTIALITY

We understand you may be contacting Centerpoint to deal with very private and sensitive matters. Our goal is for you to have the highest level of trust in our services.

Centerpoint maintains the strictest confidentiality policies and practices within the limitations of our profession and the law. No personal information is ever released relating to your use of our counseling or other EAP services, except in the following situations:

  • we assess you or another person is in imminent physical danger
  • we suspect abuse of a child/minor, elder, or disabled person
  • you sign a written release
  • we receive a subpoena by a court of law, or a client takes legal action against us
