EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (EAP)

Centerpoint is dedicated to providing the highest quality employee assistance services to organizations and individuals in Southern Oregon. Our staff includes the only Certified Employee Assistance Professional in the Rogue Valley.

Organizations are routinely reminded of the impact of employee’s personal problems on workplace effectiveness. Common employee problems that result in costs for the employer are depression, anxiety overwhelming stress, substance abuse, relationship strain, bereavement, elder or child care, legal and financial issues.

In some cases the costs to employer can be quantified in terms of workplace accidents, absenteeism, and turnover. In even more situations, the costs are just as real but incalculable. These include poor customer service, reduced concentration, lowered morale, decreased productivity, increased tension and conflict, and added supervisory time and frustration.

At Centerpoint, we recognize the extent to which organizations are affected by the personal concerns of their employees. We also know that resolving those issues is a benefit to both the employee and the organization.

An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides employees and their families with confidential problem assessment, counseling and work-life referral services to resolve personal issues and enhance productivity. Centerpoint EAP services also provide support for supervisors in identifying and managing troubled employees. Our EAP services are beneficial to both employees and employers.

Unlike traditional EAP providers, Centerpoint EAP services also focus on supporting superior levels of performance and satisfaction.

Centerpoint maintains strategic alliances to provide EAP services to organizations with large numbers of employees outside Southern Oregon.

Benefits of Employee Assistance Programs
  • Recover $5 to $7 for each $1 spent on EAP services. Employee Assistance Programs have been shown to substantially reduce costs related to turnover, absences, conflict, and compensable injuries. Productivity and performance is improved along with the wellbeing and morale of employees.

  • Reduce liability related to alcohol and drug use. We provide policy consultation, training, Substance Abuse Professional (SAP), assessment and referral services, and case management services.
